Insiders at some of the world's largest technology companies filed a wave of significant share sales in early September, with MSFT and NVDA dominating the leaderboard.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella sold over $65m worth of MSFT shares across August 31 and September 1, with filings hitting the public record on September 1 to 2. CFO Amy Hood added another $9.6m in sales on the same days. Four other Microsoft executives, including President Brad Smith and CMO Takeshi Numoto, also sold. The five-person cluster dumped a combined $111m. Microsoft did not disclose 10b5-1 plan status in the available data, so the discretionary signal remains open.
At NVIDIA, independent director Mark Stevens filed sales of $411m between August 31 and September 2, covering nearly 1.85 million shares. General Counsel Timothy Teter filed an additional $6.5m sale on the same dates. The back-to-back cluster is notable in scale even for a stock that has run hard.
The selling mood extended to DDOG, where eight insiders jointly filed $35.6m in sales by September 4, and ADP, where 11 insiders sold $30.8m in aggregate.
On the buy side, Shenzhou International Group Executive Chairman Ma Jianrong filed purchases totalling $51.4m across September 1 to 4, spread over four separate transactions reported by September 7. That sustained, discretionary buying from the company's founder-chairman stands out against the broader selling tide.
CRCL, ROKU, and AFRM also saw clusters of insider selling, each with three to six insiders reporting sales of $8m to $14m filed through early September.
