Short sellers made bold moves this week. Data as of June 25 shows some of the sharpest seven-day swings seen this quarter.
WaterBridge Infrastructure topped the surge chart. Its SI % of FF jumped 54 percentage points in a week — hitting 85.5%. That's an extraordinary build in a short time.
Wolfspeed remains the most extreme case overall. SI % of FF sits at a staggering 129.9% — up 27 points week-on-week. Cost to borrow is 8.7%, and availability has fallen to zero. Bears see no end to its pain.
Lucid Group is another EV name in the crosshairs. SI % of FF climbed to 39.2%, up 7 points. Cost to borrow hit a punishing 77.9% — bears are paying dearly to hold their positions.
Frontier Group also drew fresh shorts. SI rose to 42.2%, up nearly 9 points, as airlines remain under pressure.
On the other side, Avis Budget saw shorts cover fast. SI dropped 8 points to 40.2%. C3.ai also saw meaningful cover, falling 3.3 points to 34.9%.
NVIDIA and Nike — both in the news for earnings and analyst activity — remain lightly shorted at 1.3% and 5.1% respectively.
