Corporate insiders have been busy filing this week, with fresh disclosures revealing a sharp split between confident buyers and determined sellers.
The biggest seller story comes from Japan. Tadashi Yanai, founder and CEO of Fast Retailing Co., filed on July 22 to reveal he sold 415,800 shares between July 10–14. The total haul: $208 million. Yanai, who built the Uniqlo empire, trimmed his position across three consecutive trading days at prices around ¥80,000 per share.
In the US, venture backer Bessemer Venture Partners filed to disclose $28.4 million in TTAN (ServiceTitan) sales over four days last week. The VC firm unloaded 360,000 shares between $76 and $81 each. ServiceTitan only went public in late 2024. Bessemer is clearly using the stock's run-up to reduce its stake.
At MS (Morgan Stanley), two executives disclosed sells totalling $8.7 million. CFO Sharon Yeshaya and division head Michael Pizzi both filed sales on July 17, with Pizzi dumping over $5.2 million worth of shares alone.
On the buying side, ELV (Elevance Health) CEO Gail Boudreaux filed on July 17 that she purchased $753,000 in shares at $368.25. The independent board chairman also bought in the same session. Two senior executives buying on the same day is a notable show of confidence in the beaten-down health insurer.
ENR (Energizer Holdings) also drew attention. Aqua Capital, a 10% owner, filed 14 separate buy transactions totalling over $5.7 million across nine trading days — a persistent accumulation pattern that is hard to ignore.
