Executives Cash Out as Markets Rally

Three of the most striking insider patterns this week involve coordinated selling, a high-profile founder offloading shares, and a biotech's backers exiting fast.

SkyWest sweeps the board. SKYW CEO Chip Childs, CFO Robert Simmons, and Executive VP Greg Wooley all filed sales last week, combined worth over $9.6 million. Childs alone unloaded $4.1 million on July 28. All three executives sold within days of each other — a cluster that stands out after the stock's strong run this year.

Schwab's founder keeps selling. Charles Schwab filed two sales in two days. On July 28 he sold $5.1 million worth of SCHW. A day later, another $10.1 million left his hands. That's over $15 million in 48 hours from the man who built the firm. Three insiders in total sold $22.9 million at Schwab this month.

Tenet Healthcare sees four insiders exit. Four executives at THC filed sales totalling $7.4 million. No purchases offset the selling wave, making it one of the wider coordinated exits this month.

Liquidia backers take profits. Venture fund Canaan VIII and board member Stephen Bloch filed over $31 million in LQDA sales across July. The stock has rallied sharply in 2026. The selling started at around $80 per share and continued above $89.

Across the board, US insider selling dominates. No major C-level purchases crossed the $1 million threshold in recent filings.
