Short sellers are moving fast. RDDT saw the biggest 7-day jump among large US stocks. Its SI % of FF rose 4.1 points to 17.6% in one week. Bears are betting hard against the social platform even as retail investors crowd it.
WOLF remains one of the most shorted US stocks at 83.4% SI % FF. The troubled chipmaker has shed 62% in three months. Short sellers have barely covered. Days to cover sit at 7.1, making any squeeze painful to unwind.
HTZ stays under heavy fire too. Hertz carries 76% SI % FF and zero available shares to borrow. That combination signals extreme bearish conviction with no easy exit.
The big alert today: TQQQ borrow utilization hit 94.82%, closing in on its 52-week peak of 100%. Available shares dropped to just 33% of short interest. Shorts are betting on a leveraged QQQ reversal. Inventory is almost gone.
FLWS holds a 75.9% SI % FF with 29.5 days to cover — the highest DTC on the board for its size. That is a tightly wound spring. Any positive catalyst could trigger sharp covering.
PURR, the crypto-linked Hyperliquid Strategies, posted the sharpest small-cap rise. SI climbed 7.5 points to 25.1% in a single week. Bears are targeting speculative crypto plays again.
EVCM carries an ORTEX short score of 93.8 — among the very highest — with a cost to borrow of 38.98%. Availability sits at just 0.7% of short interest. That is almost impossible to borrow.
