Beijing Changjiu Logistics reports Monday morning with the stock sitting on a fragile one-month recovery and a track record of fading after results.
The price recovery tells a cautious story. The stock closed at CNY 5.86 on Friday, up roughly 4.5% over the past month but down 0.85% on the day. That gain follows persistent underperformance against sector peers — and it has not been accompanied by any improvement in underlying momentum. The ORTEX composite score of 42.5 is weighed down by a Momentum pillar of just 25.9, with negative relative-strength readings across all major look-back windows. The 50-day moving average remains well below the 200-day. Price has recovered; the technical structure has not.
The earnings history adds another layer of caution. Three of the last four release events produced negative one-day moves. The sharpest came in May, when the stock fell 2.9% on the day and extended to a 3.8% loss over the following week. The April 30 release added a further 2.1% one-day dip. The two events with positive reactions — both in April — delivered modest single-day gains that faded quickly in the five-day window. The pattern is consistent: results have rarely held buyers.
The ownership structure is unusually concentrated and worth noting for anyone thinking about near-term float dynamics. Jilin Changjiu Industry Group holds 61.5% of shares — leaving a very thin tradeable float. Among institutional holders, there has been almost no activity. Most major positions are unchanged at their last reported dates. The one notable exception is Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, which reduced its holding by around 2.5 million shares. Analyst coverage is effectively absent: the only consensus data on file is from July 2023 and should be treated as stale. There are no recent price targets or rating changes that meaningfully inform the setup.
Monday's print is the first meaningful test of whether management's H2 2026 margin recovery guidance — flagged in recent commentary around slowing freight volumes and pricing pressure — carries any credibility with a market that has punished the stock after each of the past two releases.
