Short sellers are active heading into a pivotal week. NVIDIA earnings dominate the calendar, yet the chip giant itself shows just 1.3% SI % of FF. Bears are positioning elsewhere.
Reddit saw the sharpest SI jump among large caps this week. Short interest climbed 4.1 percentage points to 17.6% of FF. The stock has been a social media darling. Bears are now betting heavily against it ahead of earnings season chatter.
Wolfspeed remains the most extreme case among larger names. SI sits at 83.4% of FF. Shares have fallen 63% in three months. Zero availability means new short positions are almost impossible to add — a potential squeeze trigger.
EverCommerce carries the highest ORTEX short score at 94 out of 100. Its cost to borrow hit 39.2% APR. That is a punishing rate for bears holding the position.
Groupon short interest stands at 73% of FF. Days to cover is 8.4. That combination signals a crowded short with limited exits.
SoundHound AI attracted fresh bearish flows. SI is 40% of FF at a cost of 8.3% to borrow. No shares are currently available to borrow — a setup that can flip violent when sentiment turns.
Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR) saw the biggest weekly SI jump overall: up 7.5 percentage points to 25.1% of FF in just seven days.
