Bill Gates has been quietly building a massive position in RSG. Filings disclosed this week show he spent $562 million buying Republic Services shares between August 10 and August 25. That's 2.57 million shares at an average price near $218 each, spread across 44 separate transactions. The steady, repeated buying suggests a deliberate accumulation strategy — not a one-off bet.
Meanwhile, in Sweden, major shareholder Kenneth Dart filed purchases of $716 million worth of EVO shares in Evolution AB. The trades took place in late July and were disclosed on August 26. Dart bought over 10 million shares in two tranches at prices between 690 and 695 SEK. This is one of the largest individual insider buys in Europe so far this year.
On the selling side, Magnetar Financial dumped of stock. The alternative investment firm — a 10% owner — unloaded 4.38 million CoreWeave shares over August 12–14. The AI cloud computing company went public earlier this year. Magnetar's fast exit within months of the IPO will raise eyebrows.
Ronda Stryker, a director at SYK, also sold $81 million in Stryker Corporation shares on August 18. Her family name is on the company's door. That kind of sale from a founding-family member draws attention regardless of the stated reason.
