The most eye-catching open-market purchase in the latest batch of filings came from UBER. President and COO Andrew Gordon MacDonald reported buying 70,000 shares across two transactions on 4 September, paying a combined $5.3 million. The filings hit the register on 8 September. That is a discretionary purchase, with no 10b5-1 plan attached, making it a stronger signal than a routine scheduled sale. Uber's short interest sits at just 2.3% of free float, so bears are not pressing the stock.
On the sell side, ESTC founder and CTO Shay Banon filed sales totalling roughly $44 million over two days at the start of September, spread across multiple transactions between 31 August and 2 September. The Chief Legal Officer and Chief Accounting Officer also sold on the same dates, adding a cluster of C-suite exits. Elastic's market cap is around $10.3 billion.
At ARGX, CEO Tim Van Hauwermeiren disclosed on 5 September that he had sold 20,000 shares on 3 September for $21.1 million. Two other officers, the CMO and General Counsel, also filed sales in the same window, totalling a further $3.2 million in a coordinated exit across the leadership team.
The insider data runs to 8 September. Trades disclosed after that date are not yet reflected.
