Insiders Sell Into a Mixed Tape

Insider selling pressure has dominated filings over the past month, with tech names and Korean conglomerates leading the flow. Three stories stand out.

CrowdStrike Holdings tops the US insider selling table. ORTEX data shows the cybersecurity group recorded the largest insider disposal value among US stocks over the past month. The stock is already down 51.5% year-to-date, making the sales a notable signal even before plan structure is considered.

Lennar Corporation sits on the opposite side. The homebuilder ranks among the top US names by insider buying value over the past month. Shares are off 23.5% this year, and insiders appear to be stepping in at current levels ahead of the company's Q3 earnings call. A short score of 63 suggests significant bearish positioning on the other side of that trade.

The largest single disclosed transaction in ORTEX's non-US filings came from Posco International, where parent company POSCO Co Ltd filed a sale of approximately 36.4 million shares worth $1.5 billion. The transaction was dated 7 September and input the same day.

Also notable: GQG Partners filed a disclosure on Adani Energy Solutions, showing a sale of around $188 million worth of shares. The original trade date in that filing dates to 2023, highlighting how late-reported disclosures can surface without warning.

Broadcom and Arista Networks also appeared in the ORTEX insider selling screen over the past month, though neither has reported a C-level transaction above the $1 million threshold in recently filed data.

The record $23.7 billion Q2 2026 buyback spend shows companies buying their own stock in bulk. That contrasts with individual executives choosing to reduce their personal exposure.
