Big Tech Dominates a Packed Earnings Week

The busiest stretch of the US reporting season arrives this week. Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon all report within 48 hours of each other.

Today (Sunday/Monday): Cadence Design Systems kicks off the week in the US, reporting Q3 results today. In Europe, Swiss building-materials spin-off Amrize and semiconductor valve maker VAT Group both post earnings. Luxury brand Moncler also reports from Milan.

Tuesday: S&P Global, American Tower, Coca-Cola and Centene all release Q3 results. Auto names draw attention in Europe: Kia Corporation reports Monday, with ORTEX alt data showing Austrian car registrations running 9% above the same quarter last year, a dataset that leads Kia revenue by 45 days.

Wednesday: The single heaviest day. Microsoft (fiscal Q1 2027), Alphabet, Chipotle, Biogen and Equinix all report after the close. Mercedes-Benz posts Thursday; Dutch car registrations, a leading indicator for its revenue, are running 6% below the prior-year quarter.

Thursday: Amazon and Intel headline the final day. Intel faces scrutiny after months of restructuring. Volkswagen and Renault also report; Austrian registrations are down 6% year-on-year for both, per ORTEX alt data.

No IPOs are scheduled in the next seven days. The Russell 2000 ranking cut-off falls on 30 October, adding an extra layer of positioning pressure into Friday's close.
