Confluences — when multiple signals align

Confluences are ORTEX's highest-conviction signal class. A Confluence fires when three or more independent data types — short interest, cost to borrow, options flow, analyst downgrades, institutional flows — simultaneously cross thresholds on a single ticker. These are rare and loud.

Get Confluences in real time

On ORTEX you can subscribe to Confluence alerts per ticker or watchlist. The same signal engine that produces these reports powers the live alerts inside the platform.

How a Confluence is generated

Every ticker in the ORTEX universe is scored across six independent signal dimensions: short interest, cost to borrow, utilization, options flow, analyst consensus shifts, and institutional positioning changes. Each dimension carries its own threshold.

When three or more dimensions cross their thresholds in the same direction within a short window, a Confluence is triggered. The report summarises which signals fired, the magnitude of each, and the ORTEX interpretation.

Every contributing signal is recorded with timestamps in the report's provenance panel so readers can audit the trigger end to end.
